now.\u00a0 In preparation for the felling of the tree a few days ago I decided to cut those nearest to the scene of the action.\u00a0 They are now in a vase in the conservatory, safe from the ravages of falling branches.\u00a0 A little brown and battered\u00a0perhaps but still giving a splash of colour and smiling to those still crowing in the garden outside.<\/p>\n<p>Daffodils in springtime always seem to encourage me to get the camera out.\u00a0 Reviewing just some of the pictures I have taken over the years I have chosen two, both with an ecclesiastical flavour.<\/p>\n<p>Cruden Parish Church lies in the countryside between Cruden Bay and the main Peterhead to Aberdeen Road.\u00a0 I noticed the bright yellows daffodils outside the church hall door, and after an unsuccessful attempt to get the picture with my phone, I went home for my camera and lay down on the ground so that I could get the flowers in the foreground and the church, surrounded by bare trees behind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.couttsweb.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_2866.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2302\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2302\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.couttsweb.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_2866.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2866\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" http:\/\/blog.couttsweb.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_2866-624x416.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The other picture is taken inside Peterhead Old Parish Church, or the Muckle Kirk as it is known locally.\u00a0\u00a0 Again getting the little vase of flowers close to the camera with the slightly out of focus colourful inside of this large church behind created a pleasing picture.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.couttsweb.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/DSCF2414.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2301\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
