I retired at the beginning of 2012 after working for more than 20 years as a hospital chaplain in Aberdeen. Now with plenty time on my hands I have resumed my old hobby of photography. I have been taking pictures for nearly as long as I can remember: black and white pictures, family pictures, holiday pictures, pictures for the hospital magazine.
I now live in he village of Hatton (which lies half way between Ellon and Peterhead in Aberdenshire) and am trying to illustrate the countryside round about. The local area is called Cruden.
The Water of Cruden flows through Hatton and enters the sea at Port Erroll Harbour on Cruden Bay.
Our local school is called Hatton Cruden Primary School
The Church of Scotland, lying at the centre of the area is Cruden Parish Church.
I hope you enjoy reading about my ramblings round Cruden country and beyond.
