Hey, it windy up here!

it was a lovely day, the sun was out, the temperature was up, and thanks to the pleasant sea breeze it was not too hot.  As I walked with the dogs on Stirlinghill there were wild flowers all around, heath orchids aplenty, yellow vetch and the first showing of heather.  I have become aware this year of the changing wild flowers in bloom week to week.  After a couple of weeks in London there was quite a change in what I came back to in Buchan.

We stopped for a while as I tried to get pictures of wildflowers in the foreground with an out of focus landscape behind.   Unfortunately I just could not get the right angles or all the flowers in focus.  The dogs did not mind:  they pottered about as I lay on the ground getting close to the flowers with my camera, occasionally managing to get a tail or a leg in the photograph.

Today’s pictures does have some flowers in it and an out of focus Buchanhaven lighthouse in the background, but it is Lily who is the focus of attention as she found the wind on Stirlinghill a bit of a challenge.
