I have been experimenting recently, taking photographs of subjects close to the camera with the background out of focus, but still recognisable.  I have been concentrating on landscapes,, with flowers in the foreground.

Last night we heard the wonderful news that our grandson, Blair has been appointed the Vice Captain of Balmoral, one of the houses in his Primary School.  He came home yesterday proudly bearing his red badge.   A perfect subject for this style of photograph.
