A dull misty morning can be a challenge for a photographer. Everything is flat and lifeless, and it can be difficult to find a subject for a photograph. Fortunately I did take my camera with me when I went out for an early morning walk with the dogs.
I noticed that weed killer had been sprayed along both sides of the little road which leads up to Auchlethen, near Hatton. At first I was a bit sad that the wild flowers which I am enjoying at this time of year had gone. But as I looked again, the yellow lines at the edge of the road led the eye into the picture, and the foxglove provided a splash of colour on this grey Sunday morning.
