The walk with the dogs this morning look me up the road to Auchlethen again. Having tried yesterday to walk in the field and found it squelchy and muddy, the ice on the Auchlethen road seemed the better bet
And what a joy it was. The group of roe deer which I have seen from time time were near enough the road to photograph before they ran off, and the horses, cattle and sheep were all there, quite happy to pose for the camera. They were all watching me watching them.
Photographing animals one handed, while holding the dogs’ leads in the other, to stop them scaring my subjects, is a skill I soon acquired!
